As far as I know 2009 was the first version.

Hello,I can't seem to get the game running properly .my icon on desktop is dark with a red dot on it .it only loads the rfactor game I have loaded on same computer .I only have steam version .a DVD version and a version of rfactor lite .the only .exe that got it running was the DVD version but it required DVD to be installed .it ran but icon was still dark and game had mismatch every time I loaded the race.Do I need a stand alone installed version to use .exe? And get the icon to normal.thanks to anyone with some advice I'd love to race on this again .
